Chris Hogan to undergo MRI for shoulder injury

by

Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan will undergo an MRI for his shoulder. Hogan left Sunday's 21-13 win against the Chargers after being tackled after a catch. Hogan was down on the ground before walking off to the sideline, where he could be seen in pain and he didn't return to the game.

After the game, Hogan was said to be in a sling but there are good news out of his situation.

"Chris Hogan, who had right arm in sling, scheduled for MRI in morning, per source. Initial optimism it isn't bad but tests will determine. (@MikeReiss)

The Patriots have their bye next week, so Hogan will have an additional week to recover. The wide receiver had five catches for 60 yards before the injury against the Chargers and he has five touchdowns this season.
