NaVorro Bowman signs deal with Raiders

Former 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman visited the Raiders on Monday and it seems it was all it took for him to find a new home.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Bowman agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Raiders.

Previous reports over the weekend suggested that Bowman would visit Oakland before meeting with the Cowboys, but it seems he cancelled the trip to Dallas.

Bowman played for the 49ers for the first six-plus years of his career before being released last week, which means that signing with the Raiders will help him stay close to home and give him a chance to play for a contender, although the Raiders have lost their last four games.

The 49ers had agreed to trade Bowman to one team before his release but they wanted to give him the chance to choose where to go. Looselines Sportsbook has the Raiders at +4000 to win Super Bowl LII and at +2000 to win the AFC.
